Day 1 Geneva: Arrive Geneva. On arrival in Geneva, check in at your hotel. For the rest of the day you are free to explore a bit of the city or proceed to your hotel and do the check-in. Rest of the day at your leisure time to explore the city, do a bit of sightseeing or go shopping. Overnight stay at Geneva.
Day 2 Geneva–Montreux–Zermatt: After breakfast, travel aboard a steamship and enjoy the pleasant journey from Geneva to Montreux. On your way you see Geneva’s famous 140 m fountain as well as picturesque vineyards and towns and also the beautiful Chillon Castle. Disembark at Montreux and after a short bus ride (not incl.) board the train via Visp to Zermatt. Situated at 1,620 m/5,315 ft above sea level, Zermatt is a beautiful Alpine village and a car-free zone. Overnight stay at Zermatt.
Day 3 Zermatt–Gornergrat: After breakfast, discover a stunning natural paradise: The Gornergrat train takes you from Zermatt to the top of the 3’089 m (11,333 ft) Gornergrat. The journey goes through aromatic stone pine and larch forests and across alpine meadows, which are blossoming with flowers in summer and covered with snow in winter. Experience 29 four-thousand-meter-high mountains covered with snow and ice. Enjoy the breathtaking view over the most famous peak in Switzerland – The Matterhorn. In the afternoon return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Zermatt.
Day 4 Zermatt–Glacier Express–St. Moritz: In the early morning travel from Zermatt to St. Moritz by the famous Glacier Express. A 7 ½ hour journey is lying ahead of you including 291 bridges, 91 tunnels and the Oberalp Pass at 2,033 m (6,607 ft). Enjoy a panoramic trip through the Alps in the heart of Switzerland. Travel comfortably in the unspoilt and beautiful scenery which is rich in ancient. Experience the fragrant mountain forests, the peaceful Alpine meadows, the rushing mountain streams and the mountain valleys which have been existing for centuries. We suggest that you book a table in the dining car. There is also a mini bar-service. You arrive in St. Moritz in the early evening. Overnight stay at St. Moritz.
Day 5 St. Moritz–Zürich (Zurich): After breakfast, transfer to Zürich by train. After the arrival you can enjoy your day in this shopping paradise. Zürich offers gentle hills, peaceful woods, unpolluted lakes and rivers, picturesque villages – and all this just a stone’s throw from the Alps. Overnight stay at Zürich.
Day 6 Zürich–Mount Pilatus: After breakfast, train transfer to Luzern. Enjoy a cruise in Lake Luzern, departing from Luzern and terminating in Alpnachstad. Travel up the Pilatus (2,132 m/7,000 ft) by boarding the steepest cogwheel railway in the world (From May/June to the end of September. In wintertime take the bus from Luzern to Kriens and continue with the panoramic gondola from Kriens to the Pilatus). In the afternoon, a cable car takes you back to the base. A coach takes you back to Luzern. We also offer this excursion in reverse order. Train transfer to Zürich. Overnight stay at Zürich.
Day 7 Zürich–Geneva: Today you travel back to Geneva by train. After check in at your hotel you are free to experience the city. Overnight stay at Geneva.
Day 8 Geneva: After breakfast proceed to the airport for your onward flight.
