Day 1 Amman: Meet and
greet on arrival by Concept Voyages' representative at Amman airport, transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight
stay at
hotel.
Day 2 Amman: Morning tour of Amman, visiting the
Roman Theatre,
the Citadel, the Archaeology and the Folklore Museums, old
and
modern
Amman, Lunch at Tawaheen al- hawa. In the afternoon, visit of the holy
cave of sleepers. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Amman.
Day 3 Jerash, Pompeus of the east: Tour of
Jerash (Gerasa of
antiquity), the best preserved city of Roman times, to visit its theatres,
temples, churches and colonnaded streets. Lunch, then continuation down to
the lowest spot on earth and experience floating in the waters of the Dead
Sea with a stop at the Yabock; the place where Jacob fought the angel
(Book of Genesis). Dinner and Overnight in Amman.
Day 4 Petra, the rose city: Early in the morning, drive south to
Petra, this city that was carved into the rose-red
Sharah Mountains by the
Nabateans and lost to Civilization until re-discovered by the Swiss
Burkhardt. Walk through the Siq, a narrow and winding fissure between the
cliffs, to reach the
Treasury, the Roman Theater, the Courts, Qasr Bint
Pharaoun,
Temple of the Winged Lion and other monuments. A break for lunch
or you may wish to climb up to the Monastery. Dinner and overnight in
Petra.
Day 5 The moon valley: Continuation via desert highway. Visit the
Wadi Rum Desert (With a short ride in a 4x4 vehicle) and its awesome
moon-like landscape, where the film “Lawrence of Arabia” was shot. Return
to Amman. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 6 Allenby-Jericho-Jerusalem: Transfer to Allenby Bridge to go
into Israel. Meet and assist on arrival by Concept Voyages' representative, then start a full day tour and visit
Jericho, one of the oldest cities in the world, view the
Mount of Temptation. Lunch at local restaurant, then proceed to Jerusalem and start
at
Mount of Olives and see the panoramic view of the Old and New City.
Visit the
Chapel of Ascension, and then walk through the
Gardens of
Gethsemane onto the church of All Nations. Proceed to
Mount Zion and visit
the
Room of the Last Supper, King
David's Tomb and the
church of St. Peter
in Gallicantu. Check in to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at
hotel.
Day 7 Jerusalem-Bethlehem: After breakfast at hotel, start a full day
tour at the Old City. Stop at the Pools of Bethesda, walk through the Via
Dolorosa, and see the Stations of the Cross onto to the Holy Sepulcher
Church. Visit the Wailing Wall and view the Dome of the Rock. Lunch at
local restaurant, then drive to Bethlehem to visit the church of the
Nativity, the
Manger Square and the Shepherd's Field. Return to Jerusalem
and drive to Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist, visit his
church and the Famous
Visitation church. Drive through the New City of
Jerusalem to your hotel, for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 Jerusalem-Nazareth-Cana-Tiberias: Breakfast at hotel, check
out, and then drive through the Jordan Valley to Nazareth, the city where
Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the
Annunciation church and Mary's Well,
proceed to Cana the village of the First Miracle of Turning the water
into Wine. Then drive to Tiberius for a St. Peter's Fish lunch at local
restaurant. Take a boat for a cruise over the Sea of Galilee and visit The
Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the "
Sermon on the Mount", proceed to
Capernaum, where Jesus, built his house and the Tabgha, the site of the
Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes. Check in to hotel. Dinner and
overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9 Tiberias-Allenby: Breakfast at hotel, check-out and drive
to Allenby bridge for crossing into Jordan. On your way back to Amman,
visit of Bethany; the place where Jesus was baptized. Visit Madaba with
the oldest map of the
Holy Land, and its Mosaic School, Mt. Nebo and the
alleged burial site of Moses overlooking the Dead Sea and the Jordan
Valley; dinner and overnight in Amman.
Day 10 Amman: Transfer to Amman for departure; our team will
assist you at the airport, and facilitate the procedures of the departure.
