Day 1 Coimbatore-Ooty: Arrive Coimbatore by flight or train. On arrival, meet and greet by Concept Voyages' representative and transfer to the Ooty resort. Ootacamund or Ooty is situated in Nilgiri Mountains near Tri Junction of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Ooty is the only hill station in india which attracts visitors during all seasons. It has built up a fame as the `all-seasons -hill resort' and the `queen of hill stations'. It is one of the most popular hill resorts in southern India at an elevation of 7216 ft. above sea-level, nestling among the hills at a point where the Eastern Ghats meets the Western Ghats, the district headquarter town of Udhagamandalam sprawls along a beautiful plateau. The Eastern Ghats are mighty and attractive while the Western ghats have wooded loveliness. Day 2 Ooty sightseeing: Morning, after breakfast, enjoy the sight seeing tour of Ooty covering the Botanical Gardens, Dodabetta Peak, Tiger Hill and the famous Ooty lake. Botanical Gardens, established in 1848, by the Marquis of Twedale, the gardens lie on the lower slopes of Dodabetta peak, the highest point in Ooty. The gardens are formally laid out with lily ponds, and there are clipped bushes in the form of elephants, with raised trunks. Here, a thousand different species of plants including some thirty types of eucalyptus are to be found. There is a fossil tree trunk 20 million years old in the midst of the garden. The Roman Catholic Cathedral, recently enlarged, can be seen on the road from Charing Cross to the Botanical Gardens. The botanical gardens are the venue of an annual Flower Show every May. Dodabetta is highest peak (2623 metres) in the Nilgiris, it lies at the junction of Western & Eastern Ghats and offers beautiful vistas of the Nilgiri Hills ranges Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Day 3 Ooty-Coonoor-Ooty: Breakfast at resort; proceed to Coonoor for sightseeing tour. Coonoor a small town that stands on a lower ridge of the plateau at an altitude of 1858 m has an equable climate that has made it popular as a hill resort in its own right. The main attraction is the Sim's Park, a small well-maintained botanical garden that has several varieties of plants not to be found in other hill stations. Viewpoints and picnic spots around Coonoor include Lamb's Rock, Lady Canning's Seat, Dolphin's Nose, St Catherine Falls, Law's Falls, Ralliah Dam and Droog. Visit Mudumalai Wildlife sanctuary. One of the picturesque spots in the sanctuary include the Moyar Waterfalls, the Chief Minister's watchtower. Ombetta Swamp, Theppakad elephant camp etc. Elephant and vehicle rides in the sanctuary along visitor routes can be made on payment. Visit St. Catherine Falls and Law’s Falls Enroute to Coonoor. Return back to Ooty late evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Day 4 Ooty-Kodaikanal: After breakfast, free at leisure to buy some everlasting flowers in Ooty before departing for Kodaikanal. Checkout and proceed to Kodaikanal. Upon arrival,
assisted by concept voyages' representative, check into resort and enjoy a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay at the resort. Kodaikanal is one of the most popular hill resorts in India. It is a charming hill station, stands amidst sylvan beauty on the southern crest of the upper Palani Hills near Madurai in Tamil Nadu. With its rocks, woods, lovely lake and bracing air, Kodaikanal is an ideal hill resort for the tourists. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Day 5 Kodai sightseeing: Morning, after breakfast, proceed for Kodaikanal sightseeing tour. Sightseeing tour covers the Bear Shola Falls, Silver Cascade, Glen Falls, Fairy Falls, Observatory, Telescope Houses, Shenbaganur Museum, Kukkal Caves, Palani Hills and Dolmen Circle. The waterfalls around Kodaikanal include Bear Shola Falls, Silver Cascade, Glen Falls and Fairy Falls, the best of the lot. A swim at the foot of the Fairy Falls is refreshing. Observatory is situated at the topmost point of Kodai (850 feet above the lake). The observatory is used mainly for research in meteorology and solar physics. There are two Telescope Houses - one near the temple and the other at Coaker's Walk. Visitors can have a panoramic view of the valley and nearby townships through these telescopes. Shenbaganur Museum, 5.5km from the lake. This flora and fauna museum, maintained by the Sacred Heart College, is worth a visit. The archaeological remains and the flora and fauna of the hills are on show here. Also located here is one of the best orchidariums in the country. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Day 6 Kodai sightseeing: Morning, after breakfast, proceed for Kodaikanal sightseeing tour. Sightseeing tour covers the magnificient Kodai Lake, Coaker's Walk, Bryant Park, Green Valley View (Suicide Point), Pillar Rocks and Kurinji Andavar Temple. The Kodai lake with boating facilities and a 4-km-long promenade skirting it are the main attractions of Kodaikanal. A
kilometer's walk from the lake. It derives the name Lt. Coaker, who prepared the map of Kodai. Coaker's Walk runs along a steep, emerald green wooded slope. From Coaker's Walk one can have a breath-taking view of the plains below. Originally Green Valley View was known as Suicide Point. It is about 5 km from the lake. From here, the Vaigai Dam below offers an enchanting view. There is also a Golf Club close by. About 7 km from the lake, there are three rocks popularly known as Pillar Rocks, magnificently jutting into the sky to a height of about 400 feet. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Day 7 Kodai-Coimbatore: After breakfast, checkout and proceed to Coimbatore Railway Station or Airport for the departure transfer.
