Day 1
(Wednesday) Madrid-Trujillo-Lisboa (Lisbon): Departure from our bus terminal (Gran Via, 68) at 8.30 AM through the lands of Extremadura to Trujillo. Free at leisure. After lunch, continue via Elvas and Estremoz to Lisbon. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2
(Thursday) Lisboa: Breakfast at hotel. Depart for a morning panoramic city tour covering, Belém Tower, Hieronymite Monastery. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3
(Friday) Lisboa-Fâtima-Lisboa: After breakfast depart to Alcobaça, Nazare and Batalha. Continue to Fátima, the Worlds Pilgrims Sanctuary. Free at leisure to visit the Basilica and Cova de Iria. Return to Lisbon for overnight stay.
Day 4
(Saturday)
Lisboa-Merida-Córdoba: After breakfast, depart to Merida, known as “Emerita Augusta” Roman name of the city of Mérida, Spain. Founded in 25 BC, it was the capital of the Roman province Lusitania and became one of the most important culture centres in Roman world. After lunch, visit the Roman Theatre. In the afternoon, continue to Cordoba. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5
(Sunday) Córdoba-Sevilla: After breakfast, proceed for a city tour of Cordoba
- which is synonymous with art, culture and leisure, thanks to a myriad of cultural events that are organised here throughout the year: Flamenco festivals, concerts, ballet and other activities that are complemented by a number of museums and an exciting nightlife. covering the Mosque, Synagogue and Jewish Quarter. Continue to Sevilla. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6
(Monday) Sevilla: Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for morning city tour covering The Cathedral -
it is now arguably the largest church in the world when compared using the measurement of volume, Santa Cruz Quarter and Maria Luisa Gardens. Afternoon free at leisure to discover exclusive views, specific flavours of this city. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7
(Tuesday) Sevilla-Ronda-Costa del Sol: After breakfast, depart to
Ronda -
set in and around a deep gorge spanned by an impressive bridge, the relaxing atmosphere here is a great break from some of the more tourist-ridden places on the south coast of Spain. Free at leisure to admire this town of Celtic origin and the marvellous view of the valley and mountain range. Continue to Costa del Sol. Afternoon free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8
(Wednesday) Costa del Sol-Algeciras-Tangier-Rabat: After breakfast depart along the Costa del Sol to Algeciras to board the Ferryboat to Tangier
is also renowned for the Mendoubia gardens, with their eight-hundred-year-old trees, the Sidi Bouabid Mosque, its minaret decorated with multi-hued faiences dominating the Medina, the Kasbah Square with its portico of white marble columns. Proceed for a short panoramic city tour and continue to Rabat, capital of the Kingdom of Morocco. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 9
(Thursday) Rabat-Meknes-Fez: Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for morning city tour of Rabat diplomatic and administrative capital; visit the most important sights as the Royal Palace, Mohamed V Mausoleum -
considered a masterpiece of modern Alaouite dynasty architecture, with its white silhouette, topped by a typical green tiled roof and the Hassan Tower -
is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco. Intended to be the largest minaret in the world along with the mosque. After the death of sultan Yacoub al-Mansour, construction on the mosque stopped. Departure to Meknes. Short panoramic city tour and continue to Fez. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10
(Friday) Fez: Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for a morning city tour of Fez. Fez is the most ancient of the Imperial Cities in Morocco.
The Medina of Fes el Bali, is believed to be the largest contiguous carfree urban area in the world. Fes el Bali is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While touring you will visit the interesting places in the city including the Royal Palace, Christian & Jewish Quarter and The “Medina” (The Old City) declared by UNESCO as the “Patrimony of the Humanity”. Afternoon free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11
(Saturday) Fez-Ceuta-Algeciras-Costa del Sol: Breakfast and departure via Larache to Ceuta, short time free and board the ferry to Algeciras. Continue to Costa del Sol. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 12
(Sunday) Costa del Sol-Granada: After breakfast, depart to Granada. Visit the
Alhambra -
the monument is divided into four main areas: the Palaces, the military zone or Alcazaba, the city or Medina and the agricultural estate of the Generalife. All of these areas are surrounded by woods, gardens and orchards, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms till late 1492. An amazing monumental environment awaits you here. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 13
(Monday) Granada-Toledo-Madrid: Breakfast at hotel and depart towards the Imperial City of Toledo (World Heritage city), where all the cultures and eras of Spain including Christians, Moorish and Jewish communities lived together. After lunch proceed for an impressive tour of the most important city monuments, like the famous “Damasquinado” -
from the ancient Moorish art of interlacing gold on iron or steel, then firing it so the underlying material oxidizes and becomes black, with the gold in sharp relief. Return to Madrid.
