Day 1
Milan-Como: Meet and greet on arrival at Milan by Concept Voyages' representative and transfer to Como. Enjoy the beautiful Lake Como. Lake Como is just half an hour from noisy, bustling Milan, Lake Como is a jewel-like oasis of tranquility, a magical combination of lush Mediterranean foliage and snowy alpine peaks. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2 Como: After breakfast, free day at leisure to enjoy the scenic beauty of Como. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 Como-Verona: After breakfast, transfer to Verona by train. Proceed for an afternoon guided tour of Verona. This tour combines a guided walking tour of Verona, covering the famous Romeo & Juliet balcony, Roman
Amphitheatre, Roman bridge, St. Pietro Castel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4 Verona: After breakfast, free day at leisure to explore Verona on your own. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 Verona-Venice: After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel by train to Venice. Evening take a romantic “promenade” by gondola with music and songs, which will make you dream along the canals of Venice. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6 Venice: After breakfast free day at leisure to explore Venice on your own. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7 Venice-Florence: After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel by train to Florence. After noon proceed for walking tour of Florence. The tour starts from the peculiar Central market zone, characterised by its workshops and multicoloured stalls, where the Medicean Chapels, and Basilica di S. Lorenzo, the church of Medici’s Family, are located. In a short time you can reach Piazza del Duomo, where you can admire the Cathedral* (inside visit) and its dome by Brunelleschi, the bell-tower by Giotto, Saint John Baptistery with its Paradise Door. The tour continues by visiting the medieval quarters where Dante Alighieri and Beatrice lived. Further on you can find Palazzo del Bargello. Not too far, there is Piazza della Signoria, a great “open-air sculpture museum”, overlooked by the imposing Palazzo Vecchio. Next to it the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most important museum all over the world. Then you proceed to the picturesque Mercato Della Paglia (Straw market), where the famous Piggy Fountain is located. You walk along the street that leads to Ponte Vecchio, the “jewels bridge”. By crossing the bridge, you will reach the wonderful Pitti Palace. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8 Florence-Pisa-Florence: After breakfast, proceed for Pisa Excursion. A splendid excursion through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside to the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty. Upon arrival in Pisa, guided walking tour of Piazza dei Miracoli, with the celebrated Leaning Tower (exterior), the Baptistery (exterior) and other important monuments. This is followed by a visit to the interior of the Cathedral, an unrivalled masterpiece of Romanesque art constructed between the 11th and 12th centuries. Free time at your disposal. Day 9 Florence-Rome: After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel by train to Rome. Proceed for afternoon tour of Rome. Your tour covers Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Navona, Square St. Peter’s Basilica (with Papal Blessing on Sundays) an itinerary by coach and on foot to visit the classical monuments Of Rome. Crossing Piazza Della Repubblica with the fountain of the Nayads. Our local guide will take you on a pleasant stroll through the historical centre, where you can admire the Trevi Fountain. The Colonna of Marco Aurelio, Palazzo di Montecitorio, designed by Bernini, the Pantheon (Visit inside), Palazzo Madama –seat of the senate, and piazza
Navona. Passing alongside Castel S.Angelo our coach will take you to the Basilica of St.Peter* (Visit inside except when there are religious celebrations) Where you can admire one of Michelangelo’s Magnificent works of art – “La Pieta”. Return
back to the hotel, for overnight stay. Entrance to Churches requires appropriate
attire.
Day 10 Rome departure: After breakfast, you either depart to the airport for your onward flight home.
