Day 1 Bagdogra-Kalimpong (85kms/3hrs): Meet and greet on arrival by Concept Voyages' representative at Bagdogra /NJP railway station and transfer to
Kalimpong. Kalimpong is a pretty hill station, with majestic Himalayas in the background and gently rolling hills around. It has a relaxed and unhurried air about it. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2 Kalimpong-Gangtok (80kms /3hrs): After breakfast visit
Mangal Dham, Durga Mandir, Hanuman Top, Dello, Pine View Nursery, Dr.Grahams Home, Nature interpretation centre, Golf course, Buddhist monastery, Rishi Bankim Park and
Zelepla View point. Return back to hotel & transfer to
Gangtok. Arrival at Gangtok & transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3 Gangtok: After breakfast take an excursion trip to
Tsomgo Lake, about 40kms and situated at an altitude of 12,400 ft., which remains frozen almost half of the year and an ideal habitat of red panda and other species. Also visit the
Baba Mandir. Evening free at leisure and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4 Gangtok-Lachung (117kms / 6hrs): After breakfast pick up at 9 am from hotel at Gangtok and transfer to
Lachung (located at an altitude 8610 ft). Enroute visit
Tashi viewpoint and
Phodong Monastery. Overnight stay at hotel in Lachung.
Day 5 Lachung-Yumthnag Excursion-Gangtok: Early Morning visit
Yumthang-valley (known as Valley of Flowers). Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the yaks & winter playgrounds of yetis. On the way back visit the Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Spend afternoon interacting with the local people taking the idea of their simple lifestyle. Back to Gangtok for overnight stay.
Day 6 Gangtok-Pelling (125kms / 5hrs): Transfer to
Pelling via
Temi Tea Garden (only tea garden in state) & the
Gurupadmasambhava statue (5 hrs. Approx). One can enjoy the spectacular Eastern Himalayan Range from Pelling. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7 Pelling: After breakfast start for full day sight seeing which includes
Pemayangtse Monastery, Rimbi Falls, Kanchenjunga falls, Singhshore Bridge, Khecheopalri Lake, Darap Village and
Changey Falls. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8 Pelling-Darjeeling (4hours): After breakfast transfer to Darjeeling assisted by Concept Voyages' representative . Free day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 9 Darjeeling: Early morning at 4am leave for the breath-taking sunrise view to
Tiger Hill, the highest point in the area, which provides the most exotic view of the
Kanchenjunga peaks. On a clear day the sight of
Mt. Everest is just enthralling. And on return, visit
Ghoom Monastery - at an altitude of about 2,407 meters, and offers a spectacular view of the Valley,
Batasia Loop- this railway loop is an interesting example of engineering. At this loop the toy train takes a very unique turn. After breakfast 8.30am proceed for the Darjeeling sight seeing, visit the
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Himalayan Zoo, Tenzing Rock, Tea Garden (outer view), Tibetan Refugee Centre, Ava Art Gallery and the
Japanese Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10 Darjeeling departure (90kms/ 3hrs): Departure for NJP railway station/ Bagdogra airport (5 hours) for return journey.
