(Darjeeling-Gangtok-Pelling)

Day 1 Bagdogra-Darjeeling (98kms/3hrs): Meet and greet on arrival by Concept Voyages' representative at Bagdogra /NJP railway station and transfer to Darjeeling - a modest tourism industry, with attractions including the 'Tiger Hill' sunrise, the zoo, the monastery and of course the tea gardens. Overnight stay at hotel.
 

Day 2 Darjeeling: Early morning at 4am leave for the breath-taking sunrise view to Tiger Hill, the highest point in the area which provides the most exotic view of the Kanchenjunga peaks. On a clear day the sight of Mt.Everest is just enthralling. and on return, visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, This railway loop is an interesting example of engineering. At this loop the toy train takes a very unique turn. After breakfast 8.30am proceed for the Darjeeling sight seeing, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Himalayan Zoo, Tenzing Rock, Tea Garden (outer view), Tibetan Refugee Center, Ava Art Gallery and the Japanese Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 Darjeeling-Gangtok (119kms/4hrs): After breakfast departure for Gangtok via Peshok Tea Gardens. Check into the designated hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4 Gangtok: After breakfast proceed for Gangtok city tour covering- the Rumtek Monastery, built in 1960's by His Holiness the late 16th Gyalwa Karmapa when he took refuge in Sikkim after the Chinese attack. It is an excellent replica of the original Kagyu headquarters in Tibet. It houses some of the world's most unique art objects, ancient manuscripts and icons. Botanical Garden, Do Dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower Show and Cottage Industry. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5 Gangtok: After breakfast take an excursion trip to Tsomgo Lake, about 40kms and situated at an altitude of 12,000 ft., which remains frozen almost half of the year and an ideal habitat of red panda and other species. Also visit the Baba mandir. Evening free at leisure and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6 Gangtok-Pelling (125kms/5hrs): After breakfast transfer to Pelling - still a virgin territory and is bathed with alpine vegetation, with numerous waterfalls lining the hillside, a calm and quiet hamlet on the lap of the Himalaya via Temi Tea Estate and the Gurupadmasambhava Statue. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7 Pelling: After breakfast sightseeing of Pelling - mighty Himalayas and the Kanchenjanga is viewed at close quarters from Pelling. Pelling also forms the base from where trekkers and other peripatetic adventurers undertake the strenuous and arduous treks in West Sikkim covering Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the significant monasteries in Sikkim built in 1705 AD,  Rabdentse Palace Ruins, Singhshore Bridge, Rimbi Fall, Kanchenzonga Fall, Kechodpalri Lake, Darap Valley and Changey Fall. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8 Pelling-Bagdogra (5hrs): Departure for NJP railway station/ Bagdogra airport for return onward journey.
