(Delhi-Shimla-Manali-Dharamshala-Dalhousie-Chandigarh)

 

Day 1 Delhi-Shimla (7hrs): Arrive Delhi, meet and greet by Concept Voyages' representative and transfer to Shimla - located in the middle western ranges of the Himalayas. This region has a hilly terrain and has an uneven cover of evergreen pine forests. The Shimla city spreads over the hill at an average altitude of 2000 meters (roughly 6500 feet) above mean sea level. On the way Enjoy sightseeing tour covering Karan Lake, Pinjore Garden and Permanoo. Check in to hotel in Shimla for overnight stay. 

Day 2 Shimla: After breakfast, enjoy local sight seeing covering Kufri, Fagu Valley, Jakhu Temple, Halley Pad, Prospect Hill, Vice Regal Lodge and Chail. In evening walk around the Mall Road. This is the main shopping centre of Shimla with restaurants. The Gaiety Theatre, which is a reproduction of an old British theatre is a center of cultural activities. A passenger lift of HPTDC can be taken from the Cart Road and the Mall. Lakkar Bazaar adjacent to the Ridge is popular for its wood crafts and souvenirs. Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 3 Shimla-Manali (7hrs): After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Manali - a popular Himalayan tourist destination, and is visited by many trekkers who follow the hashish trail. It also offers hot springs, spectacular religious shrines and temples, Tibetan Buddhist temples, and trekking in the surrounding mountains. Arrive Manali in the evening Free at leisure in the evening to walk around the Mall Road. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4 Manali: After breakfast proceed for local sight seeing tours covering Hidimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Club House and Vasisth Kund. Hadimba or Dhungiri temple in Manali is one of the most important temples in the region. This four-story wooden temple is located in the middle of a forest called the Dhungiri Van Vihar. Slippery stones paths lead through the old village houses up to the temple of Manu. Manali is named after the sage Manu who meditated when he came in this area. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 5 Manali-Rohtang Pass-Solang Valley: After breakfast, early in the morning enjoy excursion to Rohtang Pass located at an altitude of 3,979 meters above sea level offers a side panoramic view of the mountains where you can also witness the snow. On the way enjoy the paragliding in the Solang Valley. 13 kms outside Manali is the Solang Valley, offering spectacular views of the snow-clad mountains and the glaciers all around. Solang is the venue for paragliding and the annual skiing courses. Rest of the day free at leisure for snow sports. Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 6 Manali-Dharamshala (6hrs): After breakfast, checkout of the hotel and drive to Dharamshala. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 7 Dharamshala: After breakfast, enjoy local sight seeing of Dharamshala covering Kangra Art Museum, Mcleod Ganj where Dalai Lama stays. 9 km up from Kotwali Bazar Dharamsala is the famous town Mcleodganj often called the ‘Little Lhasa’. This is the residence of HH the Dalai Lama. The Tibetan Government in exile has been here for almost four decades. The impressive monastery has larger than life images of the Buddha, Padmasambhava and Avalokteshwara. A large Tibetan community and the presence of traditional architectural designs drawn from Tibet have enhanced the charm of the area. A host of Tibetan handicrafts and garments are available. Later return to the hotel. Rest of the day free leisure. Overnight in the hotel. 

Day 8 Dharamshala-Dalhousie (7hrs): After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Dalhousie. Dalhousie is built on and around five hills. Located on the western edge of the Dhauladhar mountain range of the Himalayas, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of snow-capped peaks. Dalhousie is situated at 6000-9000 feet above sea level. Scottish and Victorian architecture is prevalent in the bungalows and churches in the town. Evening free at leisure for walking around the Mall Road. Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 9 Dalhousie: After breakfast proceed for local sight seeing tour covering Khajjiar, Chamba, Gandhi Chowk & Ch. Ranjit Singh Smarak. Chamba provides a glimpse into the ancient cultural heritage and architecture of the Pahari people, preserved in the erstwhile Chamba Hill State. It is a unique place and a must for any serious traveler. This land of mystic serenity, enchanting vistas, refreshing air, lofty mountain passes and slopes provides ample opportunities for nature lovers. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10 Dalhousie-Chandigarh (8hrs): After breakfast checkout of the hotel drive to Chandigarh. Visit Rock Garden, Rose Garden and market. Chandigarh has the distinction of having world acclaimed Rock Garden. It consists of art objects made from industrial and urban waste. It is the first one of its kind in the World. The largest Rose Garden in Asia, it is spread over an area of 27 acres and has more than 17,000 plants representing some 1,600 varieties of roses as well as several fountains. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11 Chandigarh-Delhi: After breakfast checkout the hotel and drive to Delhi for departure transfer.
