(Beijing-Xian-Shanghai)

Day 1 Beijing: Arrival at Beijing, Concept Voyages' representative will meet you at the airport with a signboard of your name, then transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 2 Beijing: After breakfast, proceed for full day tour of Beijing city highlights: Forbidden City, is the world's largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex and stands in the center of Beijing. Renamed as the Palace Museum and opened to the general public. Summer Palace, used by Qing's Imperial rulers as a summer residence. The layout is inspired by Taoist legends of immortal islands in the middle of misty lakes--the Chinese version of the Fountain of Youth myth and Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design which simply and graphically illustrates a cosmogony of great importance for the evolution of one of the world's great civilizations. Lunch included during tour. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 3 Beijing: After breakfast sit-in-coach tour to The Great Wall,  which is more than 2,000 years old, but still remains one of the great wonders of the  world, an engineering feat rarely matched in the 22 centuries since its construction began. Stretching 4,500 miles, for all its seeming timelessness, the Great Wall is an emblem of China's evolution and Ming Tomb, located at Chan Ping County. Of the 16 emperors who ruled China during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), 13 are buried in elaborate complexes in the valley of the Ming Tombs north of Beijing. The tombs reflect a similar conception of Imperial architecture. Lunch included during tour. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 4 Beijing-Xian: Breakfast at hotel. Free day at leisure. Evening transfer to train station and take overnight train to Xian.
 
Day 5 Xian: Meet and greet on arrival at train station, then transfer to hotel and have breakfast. Visit Terra Cotta Warriors, discovered in 1974, it is one of the most important archaeological finds in the 20th century. A total of 700 soldiers, 100 chariots, 400 horses and more than 100,000 pieces of weapons were found at the site after excavation, considered a miracle in the history of metallurgy in the world and Old City Wall, built 650 years ago in the Ming Dynasty, the Wall was added on the Tang Dynasty walls. Being the most prominent walls built after medieval time, it is also the best-kept and biggest city walls in China. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 6 Xian-Shanghai: Breakfast at hotel. Free day at leisure. Evening transfer to train station; take an overnight train to Shanghai.

Day 7 Shanghai: Meet and greet on arrival at Shanghai train station. Transfer to hotel. Free day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
 

Day 8 Shanghai: Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for Shanghai city highlights tour, Yu Yuan Garden, is one of China's loveliest private classical gardens. Its name means Garden of Contentment, and it is indeed a pastoral world apart from modern and hectic Shanghai. Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai's most popular temple with visitors, it exudes a powerful potion of thick incense, flashy decorations, and a dark, seedy atmosphere that makes it seem centuries older. The architectural style from the Song Dynasty. The chief attractions are the painted religious statues, which are stacked high in the three main halls. The Treasure Hall of the Great Hero contains golden images of the Buddhas of the past, present, and future, flanked by their 18 followers. The White Jade Buddha, located up a narrow set of old stairs on the second floor of Wentang Hall, is the true treasure. Carved in Burma and brought to Shanghai in 1881 by Huigeng, a Chinese pilgrim, it is twice life-size (weighing 205kg/455 lb. and measuring 2m/6 ft. 7 in. tall in seated position). There is a Sleeping Buddha, also carved from a single slab of Burmese jade. The Bund, (which means the Embankment) refers to Shanghai's famous waterfront running along the west shore of the Huangpu River, forming the eastern boundary of old downtown Shanghai. Day 9 Shanghai: Breakfast at hotel. Drop back at Shanghai airport for boarding flight.
